ATOM RPG is a post-apocalyptic indie game, inspired by classic CRPGs: Fallout, Wasteland, System Shock, Deus Ex, Baldur’s Gate and many others.

In 1986 both the Soviet Union and the Western Bloc were destroyed in mutual nuclear bombings. You are one of the survivors of the nuclear Holocaust. Your mission – to explore the wild and wondrous world of the Soviet Wasteland. To earn your place under the sun. And to investigate a shadowy conspiracy, aimed at destroying all that is left of life on Earth.

ATOM is:
• A powerful character creation tool, aimed at making the wasteland hero you want to portray!
• A balanced roleplaying system inspired by GURPS. Each stat combination provides a unique gaming experience, unique dialogues, and new ways to solve some of the quests!

The Story Behind The Team:

“Well, we started the current development in the middle of 2015. The team was formed in the same year and gradually grew to 7 people. And in 2017 we were joined by an animator. So it’s 8 people right now.
The team is from Eastern Europe in general (Ukraine, Latvia, Russia, Poland). We all like different games, but share the same passion for the RPG genre. Computer RPG’s, tabletops… You name it 🙂
That is the main reason why we started making Atom in the first place. We wanted to recreate some of the ideas from the older and newer games (not only Fallout!) that we liked and add something from ourselves to that mix! You know, so it would be interesting for us to develop and for you to play!
We have people on our team who already worked on commercial games (Tanks’ online, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, Xenus: Boiling point, etc.) and others also have experience in their respective fields. But we try to keep a low profile and let the game shine for us :)”

    Hello everyone, we released patch 0.6.0a

    – Now, when you leave the Peregon, you can not transfer to the Red Banner on the global map.
    – Now when the fisherman and the shepherd are killed in Otradnoye, the villagers do not automatically become aggressive towards you.
    – Hunter Nikodim (one of the random characters in Otradnoye) now sells what he advertises.
    – The characters belonging to one faction or another can now forgive the hero for the first unsuccessful attempt at pocket theft. At the second failure they attack. Lone characters attack at the first failure.
    – We corrected the mistake with the action of the drinks. Now you can get drunk to such an extent that the characters will start to avoid you 🙂
    – Corrected variants of the hero’s answer, which could be truncated in the dialogues.
    – Corrected the problem when some characters spoke with lines of other characters.
    – We corrected the dialogue with Dr. Mikoyan in the village.
    – Fixed a random encounter with the Stalkers on the global map.
    – We corrected the mistake in seducing Duni at the factory.
    – Fixed a bug with the task of destroying wolves in the Rumbling Forest.
    – Improved the visualization of the change of stroke button in combat.
    – Added the opportunity to see the management in the game! A temporary opportunity until we added management options.
    – Added the ability to sever the camera further, and also increased the viewing radius.
    – Changed the number of items in Bunker 317.

    At the moment, we continue to correct other errors. The first mistake with two monitors.

    Alt+tab / Dual Display bug temporary fix
    Hey guys!
    There’s a temporary fix for the freezing bug which occurs when you alt-tab or switch to another display. What you need to do is turn off the screen capture function to ensure the best performance for the game.
    It goes like this:
    1. When in the Steam game list right click on ATOM RPG and select “Properties”
    2. Choose “Set Launch Options” and input “-window-mode borderless”
    P.S. After we fix the problem it’s recommended you change this option back to on for maximum performance.

    – Changed the refresh rates of meeting a wandering NPC in Otradnoye
    – Fixed possible freezing after grenade use in battle.
    – Achievement fix – now achievements are granted in-game, not after exiting.
    – Fixed freezing during intro sequence bug.
    – Added possibility to sort by weight.
    – Added vertical synchronization.
    – Weapon prices re-balanced
    – Caravan prices re-balanced
    – Shop re-stock hastened
    – Fixed the two displays bug
    – Fixed the bug which disabled taking off hit-points when poisoned, hungry or irradiated (don’t worry about it, though)
    – Items no longer get stuck to the mouse cursor in the inventory

    – Fixed enemy balance (animals and mutants).
    – Fixed the bug with a gas mask.
    – Added new recipe.
    – Fixed the bug with some items disappearing during crafting.
    – Added Hunger, Poisoning and Radiation indication.
    – Added music and sound options.
    – Fixed the bug with the overload in the inventory.
    – Standardized shooting distance for the guns.
    – Now you can meet the mysterious couple in the “Roaring forest” only during the night.
    – Fixed the bug with battles in the caves (no more shooting through walls).
    – Fixed the bug on the global map when you leave the forest.
    – New alternative animation for the ‘kick’.
    – Two new items (tobacco and hand-rolled cigarette).
    – Fixed the bug with the pump in Otrandoye.
    – Now the Crafting won’t close when you sort your inventory.

    P.S Guys, we’re already working on a big update to the game! It should come out somewhere after the New Year. That doesn’t mean that we won’t release new patches. And we will still pay the closest attention to your suggestions and bug reports! You help us make the game better, after all!

    – New movement system (now the hero picks the fastest way to reach the destination).
    – All bodies in the same cell now have joint inventory.
    – Otradnoye now has a couple of new little features.
    – Now items like weapons and armour will stay on the body if you don’t take them.
    – Fixed the ‘knock over’ mechanic.
    – Fixed the balance of the hand to hand combat.
    – Added min. requirements for the weapons.
    – Fixed animation for the knife fight.
    – AP is now shown in the weapon descriptions.
    – Added a new recipe and a subsequential item.
    – Added a new alternative to catch a ‘gold fish’.
    – Fixed many bugs with the bullets.
    – A ‘Continue’ buton is added to the main menu.
    – Fixed the wares balance.
    – Now you can use a shovel as a weapon!
    – Fixed the effect of Aprophenum.
    – Fixed a bug with a reward from the bandit leader.
    – Fixed bugs in the caves beneath the Roaring forest.
    – Fixed the bug with hero sometimes getting stuck in the scenery.
    – New sounds for the ciggy.

    0.7 Krasnoznamenny!

    Dear friends!

    It is time for another update of ATOM RPG! And we’re not talking about bugfixes… Our April update is quite huge as it touches most aspects of the game. As soon as you update ATOM, you will be getting new quests, new characters, new stories, and new gameplay mechanics from all around. According to your wishes – part of Krasnoznamenny is now open, and many other locations are now filled with interactive content. You will also get to play the first of many backer quests we promised during our Kickstarter campaign. This time we made our good friend Rojson’s ( ) creation come to life in a long and arduous journey through the Wastes.
    Working on this update took most of the last two months and we really hope that you guys will like it. Please, share your opinions and caught bugs on our Steam page. But speaking of bugs – this time we won’t be able to fix them before next week, since on April 21st, our whole team (plus a very special Backer) is moving out to Chernobyl! As you can remember, this was one of the top-tier rewards on our Kickstarter page. We’re also doing it to catch some glimpses of a true post-nuclear landscape. This will surely help us make the game better in the long run, and once we’re back those bugs won’t stand a chance! As for the time while we’re gone – check on the progress of our adventure using the social media of your choice:
